Real Estate is a business that should be transacted by professionals. Over the past seven or eight years I noticed a surge of agents/brokers entering the real estate business. When the real estate market started to heat up, everyone, I mean everyone, jumped into this business. What happened to them? Now, they are disappearing like characters in a Steven King novel.

Agents of recent past were from varying backgrounds. Most of which had nothing to do with real estate. Consumers took advice from these neophytes and bankers listened to their uneducated opinions. Remember, these agents took a week class to become a licensed agent.  Many agents were lured to this business by the “big” commissions and “flexible” work hours. But where are they now? I have seen a few agents move to holding real estate seminars and selling books. The rest have moved on to their previous careers or are looking for the next hot industry. I wonder what that will be?

I started in real estate 14 years ago, the day I graduated from college. I am a third generation agent. My life has revolved around everything real estate. I was in the business before it got hot and I am still here after the cool down. I am looking to develop long term relationships with my clients. It is nice to see my investors succeed. Yes, there are bumps along the way, but I am always here to help.
