Just back from a surfing trip in the Baja, Mexico.  My best vacations mix a bit of business with pleasure.  Real estate is everywhere! When visiting new places it is a great idea to stop in real estate offices, visit with professionals and learn about local markets. The best part: Your trip may be tax deductible! This trip I learned the Baja/Cabo market is very similar to our Clearwater Beach branch. Homes are selling; but to mostly foreigners not Americans. I have noticed that foreigners are investing in all real estate markets Chicago, Clearwater, and Cabo.  On Thursday I met a commercial pilot from Holland who was buying real estate in Cabo. He and I spoke for a while regarding real estate markets. During our conversation he explained that Europeans feel that  Americans are on a real estate diet and great deals are available. I felt exactly the same way.  The pilot stated that he knows this slowdown is  just that, a diet.  I did not buy any real estate this trip, but I learned other perspectives and feel even more confident investing in real estate.
